At Congregation Sha’arey Israel, our Adult Education programs offer a rich menu of learning opportunities designed to inspire, engage, and connect our community. From our monthly book club and lively movie nights to hands-on art projects (like crafting your own yad) and our recent Hebrew Reading 101 course, there is something for every learner and level of curiosity.
We are also proud to bring distinguished scholars, artists, and thought leaders to Macon through our Scholars-in-Residence series. In recent years, we have welcomed some of the most respected voices in Jewish learning and culture, including Rabbi Daniel Gordis, Rabbi Danny Siegel, columnist Jeff Jacoby, Judaic poet and scholar Marcia Falk, author Dr. Ron Wolfson, author and UGA professor, Dr. Richard Elliott Friedman, playwright Merle Feld, Holocaust scholar Janice Friebaum, and we are excited to welcome Rabbi Perry Rank in February 2026. Together, these programs foster deep learning, meaningful conversation, and a vibrant adult Jewish life at CSI.
