At Congregation Sha’arey Israel Religious School, our mission is to inspire, instill, and strengthen a lifelong love of Judaism in our students and families located in Middle Georgia. Rooted in the values of the Conservative movement, we provide a joyful, meaningful, and engaging Jewish education that nurtures knowledge, identity, and commitment.
We inspire our students to embrace Judaism with enthusiasm, curiosity, and pride, encouraging a deep love of learning and a joyful connection to Jewish life.
We instill Jewish values by teaching Torah, history, traditions, rituals, and culture (art, music, literature, dance, food) in ways that bring relevance to daily life. Families are encouraged to practice Judaism at home and participate fully in the spiritual and communal life of our synagogue.
We strengthen connections to the Jewish people, the Hebrew language, the land and state of Israel, and the practice of prayer. We empower our students to live Jewishly through acts of justice, tzedakah, ethical living, and tikkun olam, while celebrating Shabbat, holidays, and the milestones that mark the Jewish journey.
Together, we cultivate a sense of belonging to K’lal Yisrael – the worldwide Jewish community – and inspire the next generation to carry forward our faith, traditions, and values with joy and responsibility.
Our classes start with kindergarten and run through Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
